While PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) patches and labels have been used for many years even in medical devices, increasing number of customers are asking for an alternative. PVC is a rigid plastic material, and thus a softening agent, called a plasticizer, must be used to make it malleable and flexible enough for use in applications. The plasticizer are chemicals that are known to be toxic in very high exposure. I mean very high exposure. But, we definitely do not recommend PVC in children's clothing or items. Silicone is an alternative, but it is very soft and flexible and about twice as more expensive than PVC.
TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) material is a safe alternative to PVC also, as it requires no plasticizer to be made flexible. Cruz Label uses TPU label as a printed label typically used for sportswear, swimwear, and footwear. For more information about TPU Printed Labels, click here.
Please talk to our sales rep regarding your rubber patch order to get more information.
Yes. We can do size and color splits within your ordering quantity. There is an extra charge for splitting the order up between different sizes and colors and will not be considered a whole new order. However, in heat transfer labels each size would be considered a whole new order, since the artwork need a whole new plate setup. One option is to purchase heat transfers with the logo and buying separate stock size tabs to sew on the seam. Please talk to one of our sales rep to see how we can accommodate your needs.
When selecting clothing labels, the sewing application will depend mainly on the fold (or lack thereof). Below are descriptions and charts describing the different types of folds. In some cases, your sewing contractor may charge a different price for one type of fold over another, that is, If you are not sewing these on yourself. This difference in price might play a role in your decision process.
All of our printed labels use flexographic ink which does not wash off or fade after only a few uses. There is a cheaper process called "hot stamping" and we do not use this process. Many other label companies use the cheaper method of printing, so be aware.
For best and quick results, please provide your artwork in vector format (.AI, .EPS, or .PDF). We can also work with high resolution JPG files or Photoshop files.
Make sure your text fonts are outlined as this will ensure your text to be printed or woven clearly and accurately. There are many YouTube tutorials that show how to outline your text in your artwork.
Yes. Although we cannot match 100% due to material differences and limitation on stock colors, we can come very close. Please provide us with pantone color codes, and we can match it in printed labels, rubber, pvc, tpu, and hang tags. We can also dye yarns to match the colors you want in woven labels, if the ordering quantity is high volume. For woven labels, even without dying the yarn, our 1,000 different shades of threads come very close to your desired colors.
